Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) assist the celebrant with the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and Eucharistic celebrations.

EHMCs may also provide Eucharist visitations to those unable to attend Mass, such as the sick and those who are hospitalized.

EHMCs receive spiritual, thological and practical preparation to fulfill their roles with knowledge and reverence.
