Requirements to Celebrate Wedding Mass

The couple must:

1. be attending mass in this or another parish.

• If you live within the limits, and there is no record of your participation in mass, you should start using temporay envelopes for your offering on Sundays for a minimum on one month, to have a record.
• If you live outside the limits, you will need a letter of permission from the parish priest in your area to get married in this church.
• If you are already participating and attending mass, the marriage request will be given to start the pre-marital process.

2. have already received their sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.

• If you are missing any of these sacraments, you should speak with the priest for preparation options. The certificates of the sacraments that you have are still required. It is also required that the Baptism certificate be recent.

3. attend pre-marital classes.

• The priest will contact you and schedule an appointment to meet with him. Please allow a minimum of 5 days for the priest to contact you. Otherwise, after 5 days please call the parish office at (713) 921-1261.
• The priest will explain this during his meeting with him.

Requirements to Reserve Wedding Mass

1. To reserve a private mass, you need to bring $200. The total cost is $500.

• Private masses are celebrated on Saturdays at 2:00PM.

2. To reserve a regular or non-private mass, you need to bring $150. The total cost is $200.

• Regular or non-private masses are celebrated on Saturdays at 6:00PM.
• Note: Parishoners who regularly attend the 6:00PM Mass will attend this Mass.
